As luck would have it, we actually live not far from the Plascassier town cemetery. It's a small, quaint cemetery, and our kids are fascinated by it. Lots of cool family tombs, with some tasteful mementos and touching French phrases engraved on the tombstones. The kids like to go for short walks there because we can literally watch the bats fly around the village church belfry and see some new fresh flowers left behind. Here's what the front gate looks like.
Well, during October, the kids decided to bring their own belongings to the cemetery. This resulted in the following photos:
Note the careful attention to the "belly up" pose. |
Lest you report me to Child Protective Services, I did NOT explain the premise of this novel/movie to my kids, but it didn't stop us from reenacting this scene from Churchhill ("Church") the cat.
Okay, I am ready to admit some slight concern that this tomb has been shattered open, even though we saw nothing inside. Because it escaped??? We'll just hold our breath until we're done passing this cemetery now.
Moving on to finish our last creepy items at the Villa...

Jase,
I 100% agree with you about Pet Cemetary. I would never quite be able to warm up to any kid with the name of "Gage."
This pics of the kid's stuffed animals belly up all over the cemetery are funny to me. They really do like that place, don't they?
Wow! Okay now I don't feel so bad about being scared by Pet Cemetery. That was my first intro to the genre at a slumber party that I was peer pressured into watching and had nightmares about FOREVER! Really the girls carted all those animals to the cemetary? Did Dad get to carry them home?
Thank you so much for letting us borrow Tiffany for a few days. Now I am just waiting on viewing those school pictures...!!
